- First and foremost I am a Photographer for Krafty Kitten Clothing. My name is Velez (some folks know me as Wray) and my photography name is Flathead Fotos. I am immersed in the Kar Kulture and everything that follows. Been in the scene for almost 20 years and before that, even as a kid, I was fascinated with old cars and music. I run around with The Last Originals Car Club and am a huge Link Wray fan and I believe that Ritchie Valens is a saint. One last thing about music...Japanese rockabilly is the coolest.
I began taking pictures for my gal, Krafty Kitten, when I saw that the photographers that she had to deal with were either creeps or flakes. From the moment that I started taking pictures of Krafty Kittens' models, I realized that I was just taking pictures of what I already been around for years. For me, it is important that the model look and feel vintage and match the surroundings. I am not going to pose a gal that is made up to look like a 1950's Pin Up and pose her with a 1970's muscle car. Even the props that I use are authentic and working items. I want the model to feel like she is back in time and having fun.
The vintage scene is where its at...myself I am more into cars than anything else but taking pictures for KKC has been the best thing that has happened to me.
