I'm a videographer by day. I recently did some work for a burlesque group and am just discovering how broad and active the community is. I've always loved the retro vibe. Actually, the first award I won was for a corporate training film I did as film noir.
How did you find PL? (Who referred you?, What site was the link on? What keywords did you search?) Be detailed, It helps us advertise and thank people!
Thanks! the photos are not very good though! quite hard to capture the fullness of them with them being semi transparent.........they do look much better in reality!
You know, I've never caught her any of her movies on TCM. Chaplin, all the time. And sometimes Harold Lloyd. The first film I had seen was Diary of a Lost Girl. They did a little documentary on silent movies and she got a very disappointing 2 minute mention. The clips they showed where from Diary..so I went and bought it on ebay and watched it over and over and over! Then I bought all her films. I love silent films, period...but HER! It's so much different when she's on screen. That was so long ago. I'm obsessed as well!
I loved your answers for my questionaire. A man with a brain that can actually use it! Reading and art...be still my heart. (And I thought I had gotten the last good guy out there!)
Thanks bro. I hope to shoot my next feature this summer. I don't know how I'm gonna juggle promotion for Hot Rod Girls... and the new film, but creatively I gotta do it and I've learned so much on this one so I should be able to knock the shoot out in 2 months instead of 4 years (ouch). Keep me posted on your project.
Yeah throw my name his way if you have time. We have already sold $1,200 in discs in to weeks without promo! Crazy. I have an article coming out in Car Kulture Deluxe about how I made the film and then hopefully more reviews (sent out 30 press kits with screeners already). I will hit it hard after the Holidays. I really didn't expect so much interest in the film so quickly. With my band it took years to get semi-famous. This was almost instantaneous. My other three DVD's (Go-Kustom TV - a video magazine about pin-ups, bands and kustom kulture) have been selling moderately, but not like this. I guess Feature Films are a horse of a different color. If you want a screener lemme know.
i have this interest in the army. my boyfriend is in special forces and he is deployed right now. so when i get to talk to someone about the army i feel like i get a little more insight into all of this.
thanks for your message. i am very understanding of the fact that i can't be told a lot. he has had previous girlfriends who don't even believe he is on missions. that's just mean! it is really hard though not to feel alone and worried!
You are right, my favorite part in Pandora's Box is in the beginning where Louise dances for her old friend...

Someone, I never found out who, sent me her book (through Amazon) Lulu in Hollywood. If you haven't read it, please do! It's wonderful!
She had this attitude that was mean, yet charming. I find that the Louise bob haircut is sort of the same. It's sweet and feminine, yet deliciously evil and vixenish. If that makes any sense out of my head! :)
Yeah- Its currently under construction :( I should change it to say that. I get people yelling at me all the time for it! Thanks for attempting to check it out though ;)
