- My Name is Kim and i am currently a fashion design student working on getting my bachelor's degree. I decided to start Krafty Kitten in September of 2007 after a failed first attempt in 2005 to start the business. I design,draft,cut and sew all the clothing myself. I also make hairclips,tote bags, make up bags, and jewelry. I am inspired by rockabilly, psychobilly, punk,pin ups,old cars, dia de los muertos, virgen de guadalupe, cholas,rock n roll, bettie page, marylin monroe.

*** I ONLY WORK WITH LOCAL MODELS. sadly, i have had too many bad experiences with long distance models keeping my merchandise and never sending me photographs :( so because of this i only work with local models that i can meet in person. my boyfriend(flathead fotos) takes all my pictures for me now and i plan(and style) the photo shoots. I also no longer lend out garments to long distance photographers for the same reason being that i never get the pictures and they keep my stuff. i work too hard to be ripped off by dishonest people. I do have a couple of models though that i absolutely trust and are long distance and those are the only ones i trust. * i also understand that this cuts off a lot of great talented and honest models so i do offer a model's discount to any girl that wants to model my items in exchange for a picture or 2. I had so much fun at Kraft-a-billy!!! Even though my sales weren't spectacular, I can't wait for the next one. I am glad you convinced me to do the pin-up contest. I really need to have more self confidence and that was a stepping stone to doing it. I love my little goodies I won too! I only made about another $25 bucks or so at the after party but we left at about 10:45pm. We were SOOOO tired and I was starting to get crabby. We didnt get home till almost one so I am glad we left when we did. I told Wray that after the holidays we need to all get together to bbq! I cant wait for things to calm down a little bit. I am going to start trying some new things with Little Lexi's over the next few months. Hopefully I will find a unique way to be "me"! Hope your week is going well!
