"We Are The New Vintage"
Next year will be my first year at VLV.... never been to vegas before. I'll be coming on my own most likely. Do you all have any suggestions for affordable hotels and safe travels? Id love to meet a girl to room with too!

Three cheers for planning early! If you've never been to Las Vegas before, you may want to plan an extra day or two to explore the city beyond the confines of the weekender. For a first-timer at VLV, it can be hard to get away from the festivities and once you get home, you'll regret not having seen the Strip!
If you're flying in, Southwest has the most accommodating baggage fee structure for us gals who bring 8 pairs of shoes for a 4-day event. VLV group rate rooms at the Orleans are sold out, but the hotel does (I believe) still have rooms at the full rate. Last I heard, the Gold Coast still had group-rate rooms. The shuttle between the hotels is free, but you'll probably have to wait in line for a short while. Emerald Suites has a location across the street from the Orleans and has the advantage of kitchenettes, so you're not tied in to casino food for the duration.
I'd write more, but I have orders to pack and new listings to write!
I agree, the first time in Vegas and at Viva you need the extra day to explore. This is my 4th year and I still like to arrive on the Wednesday to relax and do other stuff before the events start. I've learned a few things in the years that I've been going and if you want to message me I can give you some tips.
