"We Are The New Vintage"

Hello Kiley,
If you are looking for ideas on what to put in a care package: www.americasupportsyou.mil is a wonderful collaboration of troop support groups where you can find many different points of view. You can take a look at our list of suggested items on www.thepinupangels.com as well.
As for adding pinups to your packages, choose your images carefully. A sweet cheesecake pinup will provide morale and a fresh face from home in a fun, historical way. An image that is too risque may create an uncomfortable situation if they have sweethearts back home and if your package is screened it may get flagged or not delivered at all.
One other great resource is talking to the wives of soldiers who deployed. Among The Pinup Angels, they have the best insight! I learned that often fun items can help just as much or more than practical items.
Most of all send your packages with love and caring. Have fun!
xoxo Kitty

Riotgirl Lynne, if anyone wants to contribute pics for the 7 other guys or if there would be a way to maybe do a calendar that'd be a cool idea too. I'm working with a girl from my unit to collect stuff and just coordinate with her on ideas and such but I'm hoping to put a little spice in the care packages if ya catch my drift :-)
Miss Kitty, thank you for the links and info. I was thinking the same thing as far as guidelines for the pictures and I've talked to one soldier about coordinating with his fiance for when she sends stuff and/or when we do from the unit. It was actually a request from my guy to help keep the other guys' morale up as well. I'm also working with the Military Mom's group that my own Mom is a part of and they have a lot of things to donate.
Thank you both!
So, you are wanting pictures. You would like to include pictures in care packages

Well, I'm glad that I can do a small part LOL. Unfortunately the guy is now no longer my guy...long story short, he messed up, but I've still been doing the care packages and sending birthday cakes for all of them. The stockings were a HUGE hit for Christmas and I've sent out some Valentine's Day stuff too. Next up is Easter and 2 more birthdays. I wonder if they have eggs they can color LOL.
