What car?

I am new to pin ups and rockabilly and so I am asking for opinions anf help.  I'm going to buikd a new vehicle and not sure what?  So the question is what is the best make, model and style of car is best for pin up/rockabilly style?

It all depends really. I think that you can make almost any style work. I have even seen pinups at water-cooled Volkswagen shows. At first it looks odd, but it is all in the ride/driver's attitude. 

The most common 'rockabilly' rides I have personally seen are the Comet, Bel Air, Cadillac and even some Ford Pickups. I have seen lots of classic cars and rides turned into rat rods and lowriders, I think it all depends on what you can find and what fits your personality. Most of the newer muscle cars don't tend to fit the genre because it was a different driving style and generation altogether. I think something from the 30's/40's/50's and the beginning of the 60's tend to looks great in this genre because they are the birth of the whole hot-rod movement and when the 'teenagers' really started to become motor heads. 

I didn't start out searching for my ride, I just knew I wanted a classic/cruise style car instead of the massive motors I usually build. I was spending my days welding on big-rigs and really didn't want to have to go through a rebuilt just to have another 'muscle car'. When I saw my 1962 Pontiac Bonneville, I have never seen anything like it [and I have been to A LOT of car shows] and I knew it would be a unique ride to build. Granted it is a b**** to find parts for, but I love that it is a one of a kind around here.
