My work burned to the ground in the YL fire yesterday!!!

Yesterday was a pretty darn eventful day, my entire place of employment was evacuated b/c the fire was getting too close and about 1/2 an hour later I hear it has burned to the ground!one of my coworkers homes burned down, my fiances parent's back yard burned, My high school almost burned and the Brea fire came dangerously close to my parents house. everything I know and love is on fire! was anyone else affected by the orange county fires? and does anyone know of anywhere in the oc, corona area that is hiring?

Holy crap, please stay safe Suzy! Does your work have any type of insurance for covering employee salaries in cases like this? What line of work hun. Damn that sucks =(

I have no idea. I work in CS for direct tv, but I am wonder woman, I can do anything lol

I'm sorry to hear that....maybe there is another office with Direct TV you can work at until they rebuild in your area?

well...good news came of this after all, as it turns out, my work has insurance that covers situations like this. we get paid for up to 8 weeks while the office relocates so I pretty much get a fully paid vacay for however long :o)
