"We Are The New Vintage"
I recently started working at a new salon in a new city, I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions and tips on how to put my name out there to draw in a clientele?
I have the usual business cards and flyers, but I really need to find a good way to network myself. Many of my clients are friends and family and stuff like that, but I'd really like to expand and draw in a larger variety of people and keep them as loyal clients.

While I'm not a hair stylist, marketing is something I'm a bit familiar with. You might want to start out attending events in your area that are in line with your business. Social mixers and group outings are great for networking and meeting new people.
Since you have some clientele established, maybe a rewards program will work. 10% off next cut for a referral that comes in for one of your services? Maybe a free color consultation or feather extension? word of mouth is one of THE BEST marketing tools; when your clients are happy they will tell everyone! Make it fun for them and for yourself too.
Marketing yourself on PL might be a good idea! Photogs and Models are usually looking for MUAH's for their shoots. Check out the regional forums and if you travel for your trade, make sure to post it up!
Getting your name out there to the public can be difficult, but if you're willing to put in the time, the benefits are endless! Good luck!
