Mine was Down with Love.

Watched it again on DVD last night and, as always, loved it. The costumes are beautiful and the use of color is amazing.
I also loved the Aviator with Leonardo DiCaprio it was a very good movie. Oh and of course if you go back to the 80' I think it was....Mommy Dearest is awesome!!! No wire hangers EVAHHHHHHHHH!
It's a wonderful movie!

All of the burlesque ladies of the site should be sure to watch the movie Ms. Henderson Presents. It came out in 2005 and stars Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins. Judi Dench's chracter starts a theatre. The stage productions/performances in this movie are fantastic!! I believe the time period for this movie is WWII in Europe.
I went to see Valkyrie a week or so ago, and I'm about to pop Cry Baby in the DVD player and settle down for the night. :)

Oh, I haven't watched it recently, but the stewardess uniforms in Catch Me If You Can are worth a look-see!
Boulevard Nights , EAST LA in the 70's
Valkyrie and The Aviator.

Loved them both.

Oooh Pan-Am uniforms!

I have to admit to being thoroughly envious of Marty McFly in Back to the Future. Travelling back to the 50s has to be at the top of everyone's time machine destinations! Gotta love Doc Brown's fashion sense.
"My Favorite Year" with Peter O'Toole.

I just watched this the other night, first time in over 10 years, and I love it. The slapstick humore is a little much, but goes with the setting of the movie. This movie was made in 1983, I think, but set in 1954. It's about a writer for an early TV comedy sketch show (similar the Sid Ceasar's comedy show) and Peter O'Toole plays an alcoholic, womanizing, Errol Flynn type movie star the writer is babysitting, to make sure he performs for the TV show.

The costumes, hair, and sets are great. I highly recommend it if you haven't ever seen it.
I haven't seen that movie since about 1992! It was so quirky, but the bathtub scene was HOT

Has anyone watched Johnny Suede??! This is an EARLY Brad Pitt movie where he is obsessed with his suede shoes and his pompadour.....and his band. Its definately a movie to see 1 time at least. I wouldnt say that it is good but it is funny to watch Brad Pitt with a ridiculously huge pompadour!
It also has Nick Cave in it sporting a snow white colored pomp.
I rented this from netflix a few weeks back so if you have Netflix you can get it.
I forgot about that movie! Haven't seen it in ages, but lookee here, it's available for instant download from Netflix. Guess what I'm doing this afternoon? ;)
