Free stuff is cool. Free stuff during the holidays is even better. And if you're as big a sucker for Christmas music as I am, free holiday music is about as good as it gets.
This album is available from Target as a free download, and it's wonderful. You'll probably recognize the songs from Target's ads, but they're not extended versions of commercial jingles, they're awesome songs and this is currently my second favorite holiday album.

This is a cover of "Last Christmas" by A Brokenheart Pro, available as a free download. Jeannette Kantzalis is great, and there's nothing like a new take on an old favorite.

Last but not least, my current favorite holiday album, "The Hotel Cafe presents Winter Songs". This one isn't free, but it's 15 songs for $9.99 so it's a pretty good deal. And it's fantastic. Nicole Atkins' cover of "Blue Christmas" is amazing, "Maybe Next Year" by Meiko is the perfect "I've been a very naughty girl" track, and Brandi Carlile's "The Heartache Can Wait" is quite frankly one of the most achingly beautiful things I've ever heard.
