Clothes for shorter ladies?

I'm having issues finding clothing that doesn't need a significant amount of hemming, as I'm only four feet, seven inches.

I usually end up having to wear skater skirts to find something that isn't down to my ankles, and it's upsetting to have to cut so much fabric off the bottom of gorgeous vintage repro swing dresses or circle skirts. I'm all for them being below the knee, however, they tend to hit me at almost ankle length!

I'd be extremely grateful if anyone could list some brands/styles of dresses, or clothing in general that run short, please? Thank you!

While not exactly what you're looking for, here is our Where to Shop thread: http://www.pinuplifestyle.com/forum/topics/where-to-shop. It will at least get you started on great places to find stuff. 

We've had a couple of members ask this in the past, and while I don't remember any places to shop, I do know that most of them alter their skirts and dresses and then use the left over material to make other things. I have most of my clothes custom made, and I always ask for extra material. You can use it line acrylic handbags, make bows or flowers, if you can sew you can make a shrug or wrap.

It does suck to have to alter clothes, but the extra material is great.
