Advice needed--Pyscho Roommate

HELP!!

So I am subletting a room in my house (a house that I am the only one on the lease) to this crazy woman who is very verbally abusive to me. I decided that it isn't working out and gave her 30 days notice today. The original agreement was that this was a month-to-month arrangement meaning either side could give the other 30 days notice if it wasn't working out.

Now (it is the first day of course) she is screaming at me, barging into my room telling me she isn't leaving until December 1st. She thinks this is the case becasue she paid me one month's rent deposit and since I am telling her in the middle of the month she is actually paid up until Dec 1st and doesn't have to leave until the date she is no longer paid up to. But that isn't the agreement, the agreement is 30 days notice. And I told her I would give her half of her last month's rent back.

Ughhh I am just venting, but this is a very big problem. She is mentally unstable and won't physically hurt me, but comes 1cm from my face and screams at me (this has happened at least 5 times this month so far) and I think I am going to explode.

So what can I do? How can I get her out? Is she right when she thinks she can stay until Dec 1st since she has one month deposit with me?



***if i had the money i would pay for her to get a hotel for the next two weeks just to get out of my life!!!

Uggg! That sounds like a problem for Judge Judy. Make her life hell until she leaves! Hide her s*** and pretend you don't know where it went. Put her purse in the refrigerator. If she asks, tell her you think she has "mental issues" since she can't seem to remember where she's putting stuff. Switch her toothpaste out for foot cream. Ever see the movie Amelie? Like that! Cut her shoelaces real short. Replace her socks with mens socks. Empty out her shampoo except for just a little bit and put it back in the shower like it's almost empty. Or just simply knock it off with the top open so it all leaks out and then complain about it before she does so she thinks she did it. She may try to get back at you but boy would it make for an exciting ride! I've got ton of tricks up my sleeve if you need more ideas! Waahhahaha (devil laugh).

So now one problem is solved, my roommate is leaving, now I need a new one and I'm nervous! I need to find someone ASAP!

I don't knwo really, she actually leaves on saturday. but i wrote her a note explaining that she was given her 30 day notice and she wouldn't be staying any more than 30 days. and then i was gone for 5 days and when i came back she had calmed down. at least for now.

make sure if you give her half the months rent back its in a money order or a check.. that way you have proof of it so she cant try and say you didnt do it ;) and also, hold to the 30 days.. or else its an illegal eviction and you then could be in trouble

Do you have any written documentation to prove the agreement you two made? If so, you're golden. You can go to the police and they can intervene. If it was a verbal agreement, it might be a little tougher to fight it. You can, however, still call the police for harassment if she gets in your face again.

What i'm saying is, you can get her in trouble one way or another, and hopefully get her out of there as soon as possible. Also, good call on taking pictures of your stuff, you just never know!

Thankfully she is leaving tomorrow! Was just about to book my flight to come and kick her ass out in the street! Anyone who irks Marissa Lily will have a mad sinner to deal with! Grrrrr!
