I have made a few blog post about some books I'm really into, and I could post thousands of more blogs about books. I love reading and I'm open to any suggestions.

I posted blogs on The Real Bettie Page by Richard Foster and Modern Vixens: World of Winkytiki by Octavio Arizala. I would also recommend any book by Jim Silke. He has produced books such as Bettie Page: Queen of Hearts, Bettie Page Rules, and Pin-up: The Illegitimate Art. The photos and the art of Bettie Page and other smokin pin-ups are well worth it, let alone the valuable insight and information he gives.

If you like Vampire books, have you read the Dead Until Dark series? It's the series with Sookie Stackhouse that the show True Blood on HBO is based on. The show is a little different, but I am hooked on it. I have read 5 of the 8 books and just need to run to Barnes and Noble to pick up the last 3.

oooh, ive read some great books latley, try out garden spells and sugar queen by sarah addison allen, i love them. i think part of the reason i love them , is that she is from and writes about my home state of NC, and the mountains i love so much there. i also read the twilight saga, i know, its for teens and im not exactly a teen anymore, but damn it. i got the first book free from a neighbor and was hooked! i mean it, hooked. sucked in to a vampire romance. like ive never been sucked into vampite romaces before though. im a "sucker"(giggles) for vampires.
Oooo fun - I'm getting very excited for this too! The previews have looked really great I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the movie is too. Graphic novels seem to be the perfect reading material for my work commute. I just finished Craig Thompson's "Blankets" which was gorgeous!

I'm also part of a "Naughty Book club" where we get together and discuss literature in our peignoir's and pj's for that we just finished: Delta of Venus, and Lili St. Cyr's Biography Gilded Lili

Okay, don't laugh, but I am currently reading Gone With The Wind! It is a fabulous read. It's very entertaining, and there's a bit of history in it as well. For example: did you know that Atlanta was a very new city in the 19th century? Apparently, Savannah was one of the older cities, and Savannah residents saw Atlantans as a bunch of crazy upstarts! What's interesting, too, is it was published in 1939 I believe, and it was made into a movie very soon thereafter. The casting of Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable were perfectly matched according to the book.

Mmmmmm... Vivien Leigh... WHAT a beauty!

I have a monthly subscription to Easton Press' Best Books of the 20th Century, just lovely leather bound books. Gone with the Wind is a monster at over 1,000 pages, but I opened it up curiously and fell right into it. Highly recommended.
One of the few times that the movie was better than the book. The Shining the movie is perfect. Actually, I think Richard Bachmann aka SK books were very enjoyable - Thinner most notably.

If you like fantasy, check out Eye of the Dragon. In this, a completely non-horror or macabre novel, King shows he can weave a fantastic tale in a different genre.

I am reading two books at the same time just now, the first one is 'Marlene Dietrich', written by her daughter Maria Riva and the other one are Bonjour Tristesse (Francois Sagan). I always read three-four books at the same time :)

I am currently reading The Sword Of Truth Series By Terry Goodkind. It's an 11 book series, and I am on book 5 - The Faith Of The Fallen. My boyfriend actually got me hooked on the series, and it has worked it's way up into my top 3 book series of all time. The story can get a little dark at times, but his writing style is amazing.

I'm reading these as well! Though I was slow rolling them since I realized I'd hit Confessor before it came out on paperback :) In the mean time, my wife got me started on a Jim Butcher series, but I'm hoping to get back to Goodkind soon since I believe it's all in paperback.

Rad! You should get back into the series...I believe the whole thing is out...and in paperback. I am still only on book 5 - Faith of the Fallen...so I have a ways to go. He has an amazing writing style doesn't he?

Yeah, I like his style. Definitely builds characters well, and they're very human, not straight heroes and such.
