Might just save me from getting the Bum's Rush! LOL! I was doing research on 40's and 50's fashion when I bumped into this site. It was a lark and I just enjoyed a little flirting but honestly I've made a couple of really good contacts.

It's completely understandable. These paintings (I work exclusively in Black and white) are out of context. They are parts of a larger "fragmented picture. I posted them on the site because they had a pin-up quality. I'm probably going to get run out of town but I'm not actually a pin-up artist!

Now I'm developing characters for my large narrative body of work called The Journey. I use the Angels as an alegorical subculture. I create exhibitions that are more like plays or films than traditional shows. There are linear stories that are played out from one picture to the next. Parables (secular) if you like. The two little jpgs that I attached are from the Fragment series. They depict Angels making love. I only used the crinoline in one cycle but I think there are two if not three seperate groupings.

Thanks. Crinolines or Petticoats (We know what we mean) are murder to paint but I take great pride in the ability to depict difficult materials. It's not what makes me an artist but I'm proud that I can do it.

I can't say for certain what I have in mind. I use them as an outer garment for my Angel characters. One notion that I've had for a while is a crinoline that is frontless. Almost suggestive of a busle.

Of course a lot would depend on cost and the cost to ship to Canada. When I lived in Spain that wasn't a problem.

The problem is I'm no longer in Europe and as always a an artist I'm on a budget. Do you do custom work? Or bespoke as you say on proper E

I have been tempted to post the pics but they arent mine really! I will wait until Amanda is happy as she will probably want to post them herself. I must admit we disagreed on the ones we both liked. I preferred the ones that were rather sultry and sexy. x
