Why I love my phone company...

Okay, so I'm with Virgin Mobile *pauses for any snickering* and my old phone got recalled by LG.. So I get my new one today, activate it online and go into my account page through my phone's browser to re-download my ringtones from my other phone (for free of course).. This is where it gets interesting..
I go into the "My Locker" section where they should all be listed with a convinient "download now" link.. But instead of my ringtones I have listed.. And I quote:

"Hardcore Rated R"
"Brea's Naked Lust"
"Angela Naked"
"Nudity Explicit Sex CID"
(All pictures I'm guessing)

This is FAR from being Iron Maiden and Judas Priest ringtones that I had.. So.. Wondering how to put this delicately when I call customer service, I close the browser and ring them up.
The best thing about calling Virgin Mobile customer service.. You actually get a person.. So I get a pleasant sounding young man and tell him my dilemma..



"Umm, I don't know how to put this.. I just got my replacement phone, and went to re-download my ringtones.. and uhh.. all that there is in my locker is.. Hmmm... X-Rated Material..."

*few seconds of silence*

*Uproarious awkward laughter (from both parties)

So the gentleman and I laugh for a few minutes and he tells me that he would have no idea of how that happened and he has to go ask somebody upstairs for an explaination.

After a few minutes on hold he comes back and explains that the only way they could end up there is if somebody bought them and sent them as a prank (a pretty expensive prank as we both agreed later on.. seeing as it's about $4 to download most things on the network).. There's no way to delete them out of my locker, and they can just sit there and rot, really.

So after a few minutes of some more laughing he tells me that he will give me a $20 credit to my account (pay-as-you-go) to download my old ringtones and anything else I choose.



This is another awesome part:

He then goes on to explain that my phone call is the second most awkward he's ever recieved while working there.. First being a lot more grim (having to have somebody explain that.. No.. He can't talk to the account holder, they're dead).. So my call made his day, and won imaginary awards for second most awkward call ever, and most hilarious.

This call made my day as well.. And hell, I got free smut. If I choose to download it.. But isn't that what the internet is for in the first place?

Oh Hon, this is the best "why you should switch" opportunity ever! Virgin Mobile should really take advantage of this.
