Today, and every day, I am thankful.

I guess Thanksgiving is a holiday to thank the Native Americans for saving the Pilgrims during a cold winter hundreds of years ago, right? Well that was pretty cool of them especially since we basically destroyed them and their culture shortly after that. Do you think they would have let the Pilgrims starve knowing what the future held for them?
My Thanksgiving is giving thanks to those who protect my life and freedoms. They thanklessly gave up their freedoms and too often their lives to save mine. They don't ask questions, they don't ask for millions of dollars, they don't even ask for decent accommodations!
How on Earth can I ever thank them for this?? I can start by celebrating every single minute of my life, freedoms, friends and family! Enjoying the feasts of food and prosperity I am so gifted to partake in today. Never taking for granted to people sitting next to me at the dinner table that make my life that much better just with their presence.
