Well as some of you know I've been renovating my bedroom with a modern alice in wonderland theme. Unfortunately I've gott a very tigh bugget and my camara is out of order for the moment. I want to thank everyone who gave me suggestions on what little details would look good and go with the wonderland theme. I made a computerized moch up of my room and place similar items in it to give you all a good Idea of what I have in mind for the finished project.

So far I've painted the walls most of the furniture is similar to what I have except for the flat sceen, the canopy, the lamps, posters, and other little details. I'd love to get some feed back on what you all think and if you have any sugesstions on what I can do amp up the alice theme!

This is one view of the room~

I would suggest painting the lower half of the walls a greenish shade pulled from the tile floor. Then a glossy black chair rail stripe, and the upper half of the walls the same shade of off-white as the pretty furniture. Do the door in off-white, too. If you want to get REALLY crazy with masking tape (use the lo-tack blue stuff) you could do the lower half of the walls in an oversized green and black diamond pattern! With the black paint accents, you tie together the curtains and clock (as well as your electronic equipment, as a bonus).

When using masking tape to divvy up colors, you'll ALWAYS get a little paint that bleeds under the tape. To prevent that, first paint over your tape edges with a coat of matte varnish from the craft store. Once that dries, you can paint your color on without fear of it bleeding under... the varnish will already have sealed the edge!

My floors are tiled, its a brownish red green color tile has a bit of each in it. I was planing on changing most of the peaces of furniture to match eachother. Love the idea of a bigger desk but I have a fairly small room, and a small budget. The purple, White and brown on the walls is all painted.

Oh, that giant wall clock will be fantastic! It looks wonderful with the black-and-white drapes. Of course, no excuses for being late for any important dates. ;)

In these sketches you have lilac walls, white trim, off-white furniture, wood paneling (I'm guessing), wood furniture in two or three different shades, and what looks to be a red and green floor. Plus black-and-white curtains! It's a lot to take in at once, and there are still some disparate elements. I love the off-white furniture... could you sand and paint your bookshelf to match, and get one more piece to use as a computer desk, which is such a different style right now?

Is your floor tiled or carpeted? What color is it? If you're going to put a bold color on the walls, I would pull a shade from something that's already in your flooring. Or, use the same creamy color of your furniture to make the whole room seem bigger.
