"Pinups for Paws"

So I am very excited to be heading my first fund raiser. I have been wanting to throw a benefit for some time now and finally have the means to do so. The burlesque troop I'm in "Bootstraps Burlesque" is going to be throwing "Pin Ups For Paws", a benefit to raise money for our local Humane Society here in Asheville. The plan is that the ladies of Bootstraps are going to be dressed in our cutest Pinup beachwear while getting soapy and sudsy washing cars for the afternoon. We will have classic hot rods parked for viewing and a DJ playing fun summer music. People are of course welcome to bring their pups to splash around in our puppy pool. Then it transitions into our Tikki themed after party. There will be a DJ, catering (free doggie treats and people treats) and live entertainment including burlesque, bands, and bellydancing. I'm very excited to see the turn out and hope everyone crosses their fingers that this will raise a good amount of money for our shelter.

Oh it went wonderfully! I put the video of the carwash on my profile page. We raised $1,000 for the Humane Society! I can't thank everyone who helped enough!!

oh that's so exciting! i will definitly find a way to be there if nothing else. i'm all about a good cause for the animals as i'm a vet tech too! let me know if any additional help is needed or anything!

Haha! Don't worry DC, we have that covered already. There will be a videographer there and a photographer so it will be documented for sure!

I wish so bad i could help you. i think that is a great idea and i appriciate the cause, working for a vet hospital i see alot of people who cant afford care for their pets or dont have the money to get a purebred animal for their kids, the humane society is a good way to get around those things. good luck, have fun!
