Gettin' ready for my first official photoshoot!!....Would love some advice and suggestions!!

Hello To all the PL Kats and Kittens

I am going to be having my first official photoshoot with a great Arizona photographer on Sunday! I am brainstorming for my wardrobe changes. We will be doing the shoot at my home because I have a full tiki room and great backyard. These are the ideas I was thinking about...
-Tike shoot; either a grass skirt and hawaiian bra top or a vintage playsuit?
....Hair up or down?
-50s housewife hanging the laundry on the line. Thinking 50s vintage dress with wasp waist, seam stockings, heels, maybe having the back hem of the skirt caught up on the line for peek a boo stockings?
...hair up or down????
-Backyard shoot with vintage metal lawn chairs and an oriental sun umbrella, Cherry halter pencil dress(rockabilly) or full skirt dress?....hair up or down???

So...to all the dolls that have been there.... I would love some suggestions, advice about hair and wardrobe and prop ideas.

Thanks a bunch and lookin forward to your comments

Well...I've completed my first shoot. And for all the PL models who have been there, let me just say I have never had so much fun in my life. The photographer from Leopard Prints AZ was so professional and really casual and laid back. Karole Anne, my friend and direction yesterday, was super helpful and rockin to boot, and Jamie Jamison, who is an AMAZING stylist and did my hair and did some photos too was the sweetest, kindest gal. We had a ton of fun in the Arizona sun and got nearly 200 great shots. I am anxiously awaiting for the editing to be done so I can share my shots with the everyone. So keep an eye out!

Thank you so much to Karole Anne of the Arizona Voodoo Kittens, Leopard Prints AZ for amazing pictures and Jamie Jamison, stylist extroidinare and AZVK for all their help yesterday making my first shoot memorable, fun and left me wanting more!!!
Cheers,
Bree

Hey Sue-
My shoot went so well yesterday! Super fun!! I did do the laundry line theme. It was a take on 50s housewife. Spaghetti strap poofy skirt dress with an apron on. It was outside, mid-afternoon and it was partly sunny. We have a 3 line clothes line with metal poles on either end, really 50s looking. I brought out vintage lingerie and hung it up on the line behind me. Then I did a couple shots looking like I was hanging the laundry and pulling clothes pins out of my pocket with a coy/shy look towards the undies. I also went behind the first line behind the undies, pulled the line down about mid chest height and did some shots behind the undies with some stocking, garter showing. They turned out super good. We were really lucky yesterday, the weather in Tucson has been gorgeous for outside shots. Wishing you luck with you shoots yesterday, today and in the future. My pics will be up in the next 48 hours.

i love the outside, clothes line idea....
i have a model coming this morning, to my studio, wanting a laundry theme... i was going to set up a clothes line, last night.... the model liked a previous photoshoot with a laundry basket that i had:
Photobucket
the model shown ABOVE, didnt REALLY 'get it' when it came to pinup/cheesecake photography... so i'm going to try that look with a different client/model... and see what to make of it!

we cant wait to see your first shoot!!! your themes sound well thought out, and VERY cool... right up my alley!!!

A lot of photographers have told me that the best shoots aren't completly every detail planned. Have a great time and see what happens! :) Can't wait to check the photos out <3

My favorite shoots always tell a story, (go figure), so my vote is for the laundry line...

Thanks KSK!
That helps me alot. Liquid courage...hmm...good thought, it WILL be after 12 noon. My friend Karole Anne, Arizona Voodoo Kittens Prez is probably gonna help me with make up and either I am going to do my hair or have Jamie Jamison do it. Leopard Prints Photography of Tucson, AZ is doing the shoot all on Sunday. After the first few shots, I am sure I will start relaxing. ITs just the anticipation that I am worrying about.
