At the Drive In

When I was little, as I have said before, I had a family who were & still are awesome. I'm lucky for that. My parents would pack snacks, drinks, blankets, chairs, pillows, & bug spray into the car on Friday night. Then we would all go to the Drive-In. It was a "dive" but I love things like that. Old & almost forgotten. This place had been around since they were little, so it was like a tradition of sorts. There were several screans, a play ground & snack shack. The little drinks & snacks danced on the screan to "lets all go to the lobby" & I did because I had to have twizzlers. The expierence was awesome. I would sit & watch the moon rise like a pearl shooting out of the darkness. Run & play on the play ground. Watch movies & then sneak from screan to screan durring the movies, to find the one I could sleep thru. I miss that. There are almost no Drive-Ins left. Why does everyone let whats "in" rule out good, old fashioned things like that? There is one about an hour away from where I live from what I here. There better be! I haven't been to one since I was 16 & I had to leave early because the boy I went with was afraid of storms! I hope that things like that come back in swarms, and that everyone who wants to gets to enjoy them. Thanks for listening.
