I've been keeping busy with our new house. I am trying to take care of all of the needed projects, so that I may get myself setup to continue on with my creative projects.
I did get the novel written in November, it does need a couple chapters to finish it, but they won't take long. I need to get started on it's sequel, to continue the adventure of 'Tropikill Falls'. I have story ideas swimming in my grey matter, I will just have to lay them out in the canvas of zeros and ones that…

I will be attempting for the first time, writing a novel in a month! I do write from time to time, and am attempting to get a 50,000 word piece written in November.
Anybody else tackling this?

Hello, I've been rather busy working on our new house, it needs a bit of love to be functional. But as an artist & photographer, I was looking for suggestions for creating a flexible workspace. Things that make a workspace work, or little tips for having somewhere to shoot photos.
Ideas, overall thoughts, images, and links to pages would be most appreciated.
As I get the house in order, the pin-ups will flow...
Thanks from Buckaroo!

Okay, I haven't checked in, in weeks. Jeeze the time flies when you're getting a house, and repairing it, and fixing it, and painting it, I haven't even got to the moving in yet.....
I am looking forward to getting settled in in the next few weeks and having some new material to share... I haven't forgotten about Pin-up Lifestlye, I'm just getting more ideas....

Well, I had intended to be a bit more involved here when I started, but as with life, it sometimes has other plans. I am still checking in when I can, not as often as I'd like. I'm scrambling to find more work, my wife is part of the massive budget cuts in Illinois. I'm looking for photographer work to supplement the 35+ hour a week job I have already.
I am trying to take my skills as a photographer beyond what they are, figuring that a studio will help hone the skills I have while…

Okay, I had a little fun today. It was a lovely 70+ day here in Chicagoland, a bit unheard of for March. So I got out, did some drawings, and took a lot of photos. I even managed to snap a couple of me!
For those waiting on the car pictures from last week, I'm working on it.... I took 748 pictures, that does takes a bit to sort through and have fun with.

I'm headed to the
Volo Auto Museum Friday to take in the fine autos. I'll be snapping a few hundred photos I think, about like last time. Some of the images get my treatment into pop art, lots don't. Most are for the pure enjoyment of looking at so many cars in one place.

I'm not entirely sure my avatar is a good fit here. [Here's the whole thing, a little bit bigger]

Does it seem comfortable to you? Does it seem out of place? Out of time?
What would you expect to see based on my profile info...?
Just asking, looking forward to a few comments...

I have been a avid photographer for some time. Mainly static scapes, cars, & trains. This on top of sketching and painting for about 20 years.
In an attempt to move in the direction of pin-up what suggestions could you provide?
I shoot with a Nikon D90[kit lens]. I have been considering a good fisheye, and possibly a wide angle to get up close to the subject while capturing most of it[A common problem when photographing trains]. Any reccomendations?
Is it…
