Quit Hording Your Nightgowns, ladies!

I need a nightgown for an upcoming shoot, and I'm looking for the long, sheer, translucent vintage garment that were in every woman's closet in the 60's. So why are they so damn hard to find now? I would buy a new one, but I want one of the old style gowns the victims in the old vampire movies would wear. The thrift shops are killing me, but I am generating new ideas while browsing for my needs. Not a total loss I guess. =)
