- Ever since I've been a little girl I've been quite obsessed with the 1940, 50's and 60's. I watched movies from that time period while kids were excited about it the new. Also as a young girl I would study cars (mostly new) then as I got older I started to appreciate the old. Now as I'm older being that I'm an African-American Hispanic decent, I absolutely love that color is now sexy in the pinup. It was always my dream to be considered as beautiful as Rita Hayworth but I thought I would never be able to be like her because she was a beautiful white woman in the 40's (which to people of color meant the world is her playground). Only to learn as I got older that she was in fact a Hispanic American. I think that's when I decided to pursue all things that I have a passion for like burlesque, pinup, being a violinist, or a trained ballerina. Because if Rita could do it, Dorthy Dandridge, or Lena Horne, (in those days) I could do it these days. ;)
