Here is the address for Nikki's shop: http://www.nikitasablier.net/index.htm. The young lady in Legally Blonde was fantastic in the recent run of 'Little Shop of Horrors' and projects a warm personality. Would you do the regional tour version of LB if they do one? I saw the South Bank Show on War Horse and the puppets looked amazing. I'll have to check out the fashion exhibition. The V&A is usually pretty good for big events but it has been ages since there was was a major attraction on. I've been in touch with several Mod girls that I spotted on New Untouchables but they dont seem interested in modelling. The site is similar in construction to this but not as popular.

It does seem as though quite a few of the reality people are doing well and getting positive reviews for their work. I am wondering what the 'Legally Blonde' show will be like. It does seem an odd choice on which to base a musical. I remain to be convinced that Duncan James is the big deal that Sky 1 seems to think he is. How did a few months a Billy Flinn qualify him as a theatre guru? What are your picks of the shows at the moment? I am not a big fan of wigs, they often end up moving about and tend to look very fancy dress. I really want accuracy.
You should get to know Nikki Sablier who has a pin up clothes store in Carnaby St, she often uses promo girls to encourage shoppers into the shop and uses her stuff as payment.

I dont think I would have enjoyed hearing his version of 'I Am What I Am' that song requires a strong vocal talent. He does have a loyal gay following though and it kept the show going a bit longer. How do you feel about the influx of reality tv folk treading the boards with 'Little Voice' being the latest? Have you mastered 50s and 60s make up? Pin up girls usually master victory rolls and pin curls as they are essentials. My theme shots are going to require a Mary Quant look. It is pretty handy that you have a pro stylist at your disposal. What vintage/repro clothes do you have?

I think Graham Norton was a trained actor before he became a tv presenter and Barrowman certainly has theatre chops. The worst ones are the celebs with zero training, I mean Phil Jupitus as Edna Turnblad in Hairspray! Terrible. That show was my first choice last week until I realised he was in it. Star turns in shows aren't exactly a new phenom and is probably a necessary evil. Yep, have to agree that the chorus is amazing, more athelete than dancer. Just imagine, a regular on a tv show then a stab at Strictly! Fab. What are your make up and hair styling skills like?

I dont think many models have had the benefit of your dance training. Nothing worse than having a perfectly good shot ruined by motion blur around the feet. I love musical theatre. Last week I saw John Barrowman in La Cage Aux Folles. It was a complete riot and very entertaining! I will look out for you playing a junkie living on the Jasmine Estate on The Bill! Surely a rite of passage for all young actors? Oh I will let you know all about my plans for the themed shoots very soon. Once you have a little variety in your portfolio, the offers will start to roll in.

Oh I get grumbles whenever I ask a model to keep her legs up in the air for any length of time! Many of the poses are unlike those used for modern glamour and can be taxing for the model. How is the acting coming along? What do you prefer, stage or screen? Have you joined any modelling sites like Net.Model or Purestorm, you've got a better start up portfolio than most existing models? I havent been very active lately although I have some ideas for location shots (not pin up but still themed) in London but those will have to wait until next Spring.

Luckily pin up has many styles. Terry and I have often used the same models because finding girls with the right look is quite difficult. There are pockets of the country that seem to be blessed with more retro girls than here in Essex. The Elvgren poses are all painted so he was able to often put the girls in situations that are near impossible to achieve in real life, he also bent body shapes here and there to make them more pleasing to the eye. I have seen near perfect copies of his work using modern models but they are CGI works of art more than photographs. Although Bettie did do cute 'cheesecake' her photo club pics are a little more rough around the edges bordering on soft porn. I dont shoot that often as although there are plenty of attractive retro models around, I prefer girls with a certain naughty character and sparkle. In the past I have used models who lacked expression and the results havent had the impact I wanted. Larger than life works for me. So tell me about your forthcoming projects? x
