I'm a total dork in front of a camera, I'll smile just as soon as make a silly face, but I also have a ridiculous love of what other people find disturbing or disgusting. There is a beauty in exposing something ugly. Some people might say certain subject matter is "sick" or "disturbing"...but these are not mutually exclusive of "beautiful" and "touching". By being both, the image simply becomes deeper, more intense. This is how I look at my artwork, so why shouldn't it apply to my modeling?
