Pinup model, music journalist, blues diva, and stylist. An integral part of the East Coast burlesque, pinup, blues and rock scenes, she does not recognize common notions of boundaries. "It's apparent that even if someone told Jenny Langer that it's tough getting by as a woman, she didn't even hear it. Langer, who is more widely known as Black Betty, is a Boston girl intent on re-defining what is is to be a sexy pinup and musician, as well as what it means to be a young woman..." writes The HJ Revival Project.

Black Betty is best known for her vocals with blues acts such as The Joe Poppen Band (JPB), Memphis Gold, and Charlie Sayles; her original rock band Black Betty and The Bad Habits; and works frequently as a session vocalist and pinup model in Boston, NYC, DC and San Francisco.
