I guess you could say that I am cursed with a severe case of nostalgia for times I never knew. When always looking your best was a good thing. When it was expected that women would wear gloves and match their hat to their handbag. When designers were going for lasting style rather than something that would be out of style the moment you bought it.

There is just something wonderful about the process of turning an ordinary girl into a walking-talking-living icon of days gone by. To style the hair just so; to make up the face with care. To slink into that perfect dress and strap on a fabulous pair of heels. It's a transformation like no other.

As for why I wanted to join...I saw the site and exclaimed out loud. This was just what I was looking for.
