There really are no words.
See, there were these leggings I wanted (from "Jet" - I even remember the store). They were made from fabulous B&W patterned fabric and had a cool 1987 wide waistband with pyramid studs. Mom said no, she'd make me some.
The pants were... okay. They were leggings, but not as tight as they should have been Fabric was... okay. A little too ethnic for my liking. But the waistband... The waistband was skinny elastic, maybe an inch wide, with 3 sad little press-through studs. I was so embarrassed, but I HAD TO WEAR THEM!
Saw a very similar pair of skinny jeans 2 weeks ago. Nearly bought them.
