"We Are The New Vintage"
Unlike last year where I was very much on a campaign of boosting and promoting this festival in it's first year, it pains me to say that I will not be returning to this event. Firstly, I already have an event that weekend (yay! Hotrod Hayride!) but secondly they have completely changed the concept of the event. Let me explain...
Last year, as you may or may not have heard, the festival was a real festival had music, shopping and lots and lots of open space. Now, they've moved the 'Cultural Event' - as they're now calling it - to South Bank in London! Yes, another event in London! In my opinion it just won't have the same vibe as a music festival.
I voiced this opinion on their facebook page, along with hundreds others, although I seem to be the target of people who support the change. Not only that but the Vintage By Hemingway (the new title of the event) joined in the insults.
You can see what they said on this forum I posted:

Not very professional, eh? The debate went on and on, on my post and on the main page, all with Vintage now adding they tuppence and remarking on how the people didn't want the festival to change are ignorant to vintage - when in fact they seem to be the hardcore vintage enthusiasts rather than the regular festival goers.
I don't mean to say DON'T GO! Vintage fairs might be your sort of thing, but I don't think the event will ever be the same again. Not to mention, they've certainly lost my custom!
RANT OVER!
