Continuing a great tradition

I think what you folks here on PL are doing for the men and women that are serving overseas is absolutely great. And I am sure that you are aware that you are carrying on a great tradition that has been kept alive by actresses and pinup models since WWII. A lot of veterans that I have talked to all have tales of receiving packages from home. And what I have found seems to be the most treasured items were always something from a loved one or you guessed it. A highly sought after pinup photo. I know that when my wife sent me (pinup style) photos, life aboard ship seemed a lot less arduous. Every little bit of home a solder, sailor, Marine or airman receives does a lot for morale. It was even better if you got to see a Bob Hope show. He always had the prettiest girls.

So, from a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer, I give a big SALUTE to the people of PL for doing their part. Thank you.
