omg there is just soooo many frustrating things going on with being young and in love with retro. i live in a small area in illinois and its like none of my friends get my love for retro, some even try to called me "old fashion" when i have my hair in different type styles like victory rolls or pin curls and i was just wondering does anyone else deal with this? any tips if so? cause im tempted to just slap them all. i know not lady like but it happens. hehehe

My boyfriend makes fun of me all the time when I am online looking at websites like pinupgirlclothing.com and pining over the dresses and bathing suits. He thinks its just a "trend" and I'll get over it in a month or so, even though I've been experimenting with the pin-up/retro style for nearly two years now... so yes, I know how you feel. Haha. I'm also from a small town in the middle of Michigan, and it doesn't seem like there are many people around my age that have the same taste/interest in the lifestyle. Its a shame.

As for any tips, I'd say screw everyone else and just do your own thing. If you just brush of the things that your friends say, eventually they'll stop saying it and accept that this is who you are. ;D

thanks girly!!! yea doesnt that suck. i make it known i love pin up and thats not changing because ive loved it my entire life so guys know up front.
