So a few weeks ago I was forced to cut about 4 inches of my hair off, due to serious damage and breakage. I will never bleach my hair ever again!

I hate my hair right now and am depressed about it. I've always been a long-hair girl and this is pretty short for me (its about shoulder length). I feel prettier and more feminine with long hair and not only that but I can't do crap with it at this length.

SO my question is, how many of you wear wigs, hairpieces or extensions on a regular basis? What kind do you wear? I know maybe not everyone will be willing to admit such information, but if you aren't shy about it please come forth and give me your faux hair advice.

I've been shopping around on Ebay, and am interested in this:

Or, what do you guys think about this?:

I am kinda up in the air about the pony tails.....one part of me thinks "cheesy" the other part of me is like "cool"

Any help is appreciated!

ok seriously.. i wear them every day of my life!! i have for the past 4 years... i have verry fine hair so i use them for thickness, my suggestion is that you start by tring some clip on one's in a set where there are at least two 4 inch peices, one 5 or six inch, one 6 or 7 inch and 4 1 to two in peices. (width) you can use the diferent widths at different diamiters of you head, and the bonus is you can take them off for sleeping and showering! make sure to buy only certified remy human cuticle hair (any brand) this means that all the hair is sewen in the propper direction and that the cuticle ( outer layer) of the hair shaft is intact and in good to great condition! this way it will mimick your natural hair and be easy to style and especially comb! remy hair is far less tangly!
Just passing this along since I saw the post and its right up my alley. I own, www.lacenit.com which sales hair replacement. The units give you the ability to change up the hair styles quite often and still look very realistic. This might be an option for you as well. They are called Lace Wigs and I wear one to every shoot . Best wishes!
Here is an example if my lace wig that I wore to my last shoot. Looks pretty real huh?:)

Wow! That's fantastic!

You can actually design your own wig by uploading a photo of the look you are searching for on my site. Not any examples of retro wigs on my site but we could work together and design a human one for you that does not look wiggy and looks like your own hair. Contact me for more details and the website and pic are somewhere in this post (I dont want to over post:)

anyone have suggestions for wigs? i kinda want a bettie page look for a shoot, but i love my natural color and hate straight bangs on myself (for daily wear)... where could i get a good retro wig?
I wear them everyday, I can't remember the last time I wore my own hair! In fact, I own a wig shop in Ireland! Check out my website, www.MelissasHairwear.com I offer discounts and loans to Models who wear my pieces in shoots. Masuimi Max has modelled a whole new range for me.
Wigs, hairpieces and extensions are fantastic, I'm a huge fan of 3/4 wigs.
I love wigs so much that I now run my own on-line wig business..... they are so brilliant. Whatever mood you are in you can change your look.

As long as you get one that looks reaistic nobody will ever know you are wearing a wig....... good luck finding one..

In 2007, after losing a lot of weight, my hair was really thin. I bought a faux pony tail and wore it all the time.

I started using Purology brand Volumizing shampoo and my hair doubled in thickness. Now I don't need any hair pieces and I am losing weight again.
My hair is naturally long so i dont usually have to worry too much about extensions nowadays but I have had real extensions before and the upkeep was tedious not to mention they made my head so heavy! I reccommend clips ins for when you want to dress up and have your long flowy locks back. I wouldn't go to sallys to get them though they are so overpriced! I went down to my local ghetto mart that has an "ethnic" hair booth and bought human hair wefts which I sewed on to wig clips the whole thing cost me 40 bucks and theyll last for a really long time since youre not washing them all the time and you can take them out and put them away. If you look on my page you can see in the photos by michael harrington I used them to cover up my blonde. hope this helps!
