Everyone knows how much I love my wigs, but lately I've been inspired to
make them even better. My biggest problem is finding the perfect
"vintage styled" wigs. So, I'm going to try my hand at it. Does anyone
have any experience in it? Tips or tricks?

I'll be posting my work, wish me luck!

Have you had any luck since your last post? I'm a hair stylist and wanted to try making my own wigs. I got the hang of making dreadfalls for a few of my friends but the making a wig that will do well styled vintage seems a bit scary for me.
I've styled a few since this post, and had really good results. I also have a friend who took a class on it and she's really good. Just remember, unless you cut it, if you mess up you can always start over. I've never tried to make a wig though. There are so many good ones out there, I just buy them and change them up. Good luck, and be sure to post pictures!

Roxy, I really love the ones you have styled! The black and red wig is rockin.

Just wondering... do you use synthetic fiber wigs or do you splurge on the real hair pieces? I would be nervous about melting the synthetic. LOL!

I use both. It just depends on what I am doing. The black and red one you mentioned is a synthetic black wig (but still good quality) with real hair for the red extensions.
