Hey ladies,

I'm just curious who you would list as your biggest pin up fashion inspiration? There are so many women that deserve mention here, but I'm curious to find out what has inspired other women and how they have made it work for them?

Mamie Van Doren, Marilyn Monroe, Mae West, Elizabeth Taylor and Barbie.

I have a serious thing for blonds (with the exception of Ms. Taylor), LOL. I love a good mix of glamour and sexy, and above all, style!

Definitely Marilyn Monroe is my biggest inspiration, and I really love Elizabeth Taylor and Rita Heyworth's style too.
I adore Marilyn too. Her look is timeless and sexy! You can't ever go wrong with Ms. Monroe.

As cliche as it may seem, my first introduction into pin up before I even knew what it was...watching Marilyn Monroe movies as a child. She was just so glamorous and I could only wish to be as glamorous as she was. Even though she wasn't considered "pinup" Audrey Hepburn influenced my style growing up. I knew about classic wardrobe pieces in high school. Thanks to Viva Las Vegas I've had an opportunity to meet a lot of today's modern pin ups but I have to say the two that stuck out in my mind as the most influential even before meeting them were Cherry Dollface and Dayna Delux. Both were amazingly sweet and I've been a fan of their work for a long time! I was honored to meet them both and it was nice that even after meeting them, I could still hold them high on my list of my favorite pin ups. Nothing worse than meeting someone you admired and they don't appreciate their fans. But yeah. That's my take :)

Flirt and titter magazine cover models all the way!

Early to mid 20th century portrait photographers of the hollywood studios such as George Hurrell. These shooters were masters of craving light and shadow to create alluring images of the studios stars.

Marilyn Monroe, Gil Elvgren's artwork, and the lovely Doris Mayday.

Tura Satana, Jane Russell and of course Betty! But who doesn't love Betty. As an artist I am inspired by Vargas and WWII airplane nose art.
