What is the BEST way to get your face noticed in the pinup world if you are UNDER 18?

I mean, I understand that nude and other more risque forms of modeling are not an option if you are under 18, but there has to be SOME way to put yourself out there? PLEASE HELP!!! xoxoxoxo Devannka

Work, work, work!!! It don't matter if your 18 or 30, you got to work your little butt off! Book shoots and lots of them. You need to build a solid portfolio. Travel is a big help too. You live in California so you're lucky that there is a lot of car shows, photographers out there on the west coast. Take advantage!!

I agree with Bridgette Jean: you live in an amazing place to get started.
I've only just started modelling and I waited until I was 18 until I had my first proper pin-up shoot. I get my shoots through www.modelmayhem.com (loads of gals on here are on there too) and its a great place to meet photographers, but just remember to be careful and use the regular common sense.
Other than that, get down to some shows to see if anyone is there!

get some pro or semi pro shots taken and yes join model mayhem (the age requirement is 16)

hang around here and make your contacts... those are invaluable
get to the car shows and pinup event and network network network

Okay, so I went to make a model mayhem account, and it says you need 4 proffessional quality photos. I've never done a shoot!?

Any time babe! Listen, you got what it takes. I haven't been in this career for ages and I have gained a lot of ground. I have done work here where I live and have done some traveling as well. If you are willing to make sacrifices for something you love, you will definitely go far. Keep your head up high doll, you could do this.

Read through the forum. There are so many posts in here with great advice. As for people to shoot with, we have some amazing photogs here on the site.

Both photogs mentioned in this thread are amazing, and Ama (she is one of our official photographers, http://www.pinuplifestyle.com/profile/Amaleaphoto?xg_source=profile...) lives in LA but travels to the bay to do shoots all the time. Try to book with her, she's amazing!

Also, check the casting calls every day. There are always people posting new things, so keep a look out.

And like the others have said, NETWORK. Come to events, get to know people in the chat, leave comments on the photos you love. It's all about making friends and contacts.
