"We Are The New Vintage"
Forgive me if this discussion has already taken place, but I could not find it.
I'm thinking about starting corset/waist training it a bit, but like any good girl, I do my research first :)
I was wondering if any of you who have already gone through this process have any input, advice, or suggestions on what corset I should train with. I've heard that cotton is the best because it allows your skin to breath the most and that one will be wearing it almost 24/7 for awhile. Because of this, I want to make sure I get the most "comfortable" one, so I will actually finish the training. So, any brands you think are terrific would also be a welcomed comment.
Thanks!

I found this article about it:

VERY interesting. Good luck!
Different people have different opinions on "the right way" to tight lace. Really, as long as you're squeezed and unable to breathe, you're doing something "right". =0p
I have two corsets that I used for training, both made of leather and being from DGFH7.com. Great materials and reinforced steel boning, so there was NO bending allowed. They helped get the job done, anyway, and I plan to corset train back down once I'm done being preggered. =0]
Getting a cheaply made corset would be completely useless & more of a waste of money than putting in the money to buy a good one in the first place. That being said, I'm FINALLY getting a training corset! I found one that was being sold on Romantasy being made by a lady (Jill of jillcorsets) who makes who has her own Etsy shop. The same corset was double the price on Romantasy. When I asked the maker about this she said it's because you get waist training advice & help from the lady with the corset. I'm not sure I'm willing to pay slightly more than double the price for some advice I could find through google since I don't have weight to lose with the training. Ya know?
You should totally be able to breathe while tightlacing

Do you mean like a PL coupon? That would be so awesome!

It's been a long time since is done this, before two boys actually. My corset is long since gone, and is like to get one decent one to train with. I love the feeling of corsets ,let alone the results. I have to say when I first started doing this,I had no thought of getting pregnant. Is finally got my ribs the shape I wanted and they didn't want to spread out to accomadate baby.
I wonder if we could all go to one place and get a group deal? Let me know if this seems like something we would be able to do.
Betty love,
