I've been thinking about sewing some of my own clothes lately and was looking around for patterns and found out that Vogue Patterns is running a sale on their site for Memorial Day weekend, looks like all of their patterns are $3.88 (plus shipping) through the 31st!

Rachel, that sounds like a good deal, although I missed it! :(  Do you mean regular Vogue or vintage Vogue re-issues of patterns from the 1950s?  I meant to post info on those in a general forum so more people would know they're available, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.  If you see a pattern you like at a good price, buy it b/c they aren't out there forever.  You can find them on e-bay after the company stops printing them but e-bay sellers know to raise the prices.  I say go for it!  I'm an apron junkie and one day want to make aprons with all the vintage materials and apron patterns I've collected.  I may be poor in retirement, but I'll never lack for projects.   Over the last 5 years Vogue has also re-released retro- and vintage- patterns for hats, gloves, jackets, evening wraps....
I think all of it was on sale, I bought 3 vintage vogue dress patterns. I've done a bit of sewing before, but I've heard vogue patterns are kind of hard to read so I guess I'll just have to see when I get them.

Vogue has beautiful patterns Jo-ann fabrics usually has them on sale for half off. Butterick also has lovely reproduction patterns for about $6 on their website.

Happy sewing! :D
