A little how-to

The process of coloring a black and white photo is very easy. It takes time, but it is a very simple technique.

Step by step:

* Use some kind of photo editing software that allows you to work with layers, and blending modes. I prefer Photoshop.

* Find a B/W photo that you want to color. Use one without to much detail the first time you try it.

* Import it into your editing software.

* Create a set of layers for each thing you want to color. My structure of choice would be something like this: - Person 1 (hat, skin, shirt, jacket, pants, shoes). Each of the items have a layer. That way it is much easier to go back and change something later on.

* No for the crucial part. Each layer needs to be set at a blending mode. Or else the photo beneath wont show. In photoshop I use blending mode: Color

* After the layer has been set to color. You find your color of choice for the specific item you are about to color. * Color away, and you will soon see your image coming to life.

** Thats about it **
There is really nothing more to it. It takes time, but with some good music and some energy drinks your good to go :p
