"We Are The New Vintage"
Hi there, Im a pin up model/burlesque performer who is literally just getting started. I am training to be a burlesque performer in London and really want to get in to the cabaret scene. I'm having trouble on how to get started? I would love to do some modelling or perform at someone’s event if you’re willing to take a chance because we all have to start somewhere right...? Also if anyone has any advice on how they got started in the business I would also hugely appreciate it.
Ive been told Iam a natural at it and I have a very good pin up look so I hope someone will realise the potential in me. Thank you for reading x

Hey there. There are a lot of ways to go about getting started. One of the first things is head over to the casting calls, http://www.pinuplifestyle.com/group/castingcalls. It is the place to post that you are looking to work. We also have regional forums you can post in.
For info on getting started in modeling or just this scene in general, check out my website, I have a section for that! Pin Up 101 at www.roxy-tart.com
Hi Roxy,
Thank you so so much, I'll get right on it, you've been a great help thanks again :) Im sure Ill be in contact with any
questions if you don't mind :)
Anything you need, feel free to ask. :)
Look into local clubs!! might take some research, but that's what I did! I found a community that let's amateur performers on stage after an audition! you're gorgeous and have a good look for the scene :) <3 hope that helps, I know it was short! Break a leg!
Thank you so much Leina like wise I havnt met a burlesque performer yet that hasnt been stunning, thats why I love this industry so much. I'll let you both know of my progress thank you so much for your help x
Hey Sugar Pie, Lots on my blog is geared towards sparkly new performers such as yourself. I've got posts up about costuming, character creation and what to do when there's no Burly-Q to do.
When I was first starting out I was *glued* to YouTube watching videos of all the pros.
As I newbie I also suggest going to as many shows as you can. You'll learn as much what TO do as what NOT to do. :)
xoxo
Sweet Louise
