Who else collects tiki mugs? My collection is piddly compared to some of my friends, but this new forum looked so lonesome without something posted in it.

I have a pretty nice collection going... But the big money goes on carvings. I do love a totem.

We have a mutual mug too... I love that brown Maoi! Is yours from the Lelani Luau too?

My Maoi is from "Zombie Village" in Oakland, CA. Zombie Village closed in the early 70s, I believe, and it's my most valuable. My mother-in-law gave it to me. She had her wedding reception there and it was a gift from the restaurant, along with Maoi salt and pepper shakers.

Yeah, I know, it looks really classy, huh? haha...I don't even drink, but I love my tiki bar and have a vintage rolling beverage cart that I store my liquor (for my guests) and bar ware on. I've had many a raging night watching other people drink at my tiki bar. I need to find a picture of my friend Rea's tiki bar. She made her enclosed back porch into a tiki "hideaway."

I see that you have one in your house. My uncle made one on his back porch it is huge! It is almost the length of a real bar!! He even got palm leaves (which in Florida are everywhere!) to make a roof across the top. Let me just say it is a fun hose to have parties at!! Love yours too I think I would have fun with your gang.

Here is another picture of the "tiki Hideaway"...I wish I had more pics of it. I brought some of the guys from Mad Sin there, and one of them asked me "Is this a real bar or a private club?" He could hardly believe it was someone's house.

I started collecting many things tiki several years ago. I think I am at about 200 tiki mugs.I've started listing most of them on this great website.
