The Oscars!

Anyone see the Oscars last night? I went to see it at the Bloor Cinema it was fun they had contests and were even selling alcohol. And they had a funny lesbian host (honestly she did remind me of Ellen). I won a contest where you had to say a quote from some obscure movie..if everyone was stumped you win a prize if someone guesses correctly that person wins. I guessed a quote from "Witches of Eastwick" yeah, that's how much of a film geek I am!!

I'm so glad Heath Ledger won Best Supporting Actor. He was the only one who truly deserved to win in that category. And NO it has nothing to do with his death. He should've won regardless, it was a brilliant, intense performance. I never thought anyone would be able to do so much with a comic book character that's been around for over 70 years. But he really did take it to another level.
And I'm happy for Penelope Cruz too since she's a Spanish ( I still have relatives in Spain). I did cry a bit during her speech talking about growing up in a small town in Spain and how it seemed like an impossible dream to get there. She got passed over the previous year so she really deserved to win this year. Also Kate Winslet and Sean Penn I liked their acceptance speeches too. So do you have any favourite moments? Any worse dressed/best dressed list?

I watched some of it, but had to turn it off about half way through. SJP's dress was beautiful, my fav that I saw. But my favorite moment was the musical number that they did. I thought it was wonderful, and I'm so glad that the musical is back, and the academy recognized it.

I thought Anne Hathaway, Kate Winslet, and Marisa Tomei had the most beautiful dresses (although my friend and I were making mental adjustments to Marisa's neckline) and Heidi Klum, Jessica Biel, and Reese Witherspoon win the award for "What were you thinking?"

Yeah! I loved that outfit and musical number! They asked people in the audience if they liked the musical number and so many replied "no"...this town is full of dull lame a****. Well too bad! Because the musical is back b******!

I was most delighted by Natalie Portman's dress. Soooooo beautiful on her! I want her to wear that colour ALWAYS and FOREVER. No more beige or oatmeal or fawn or tan or any other variation on "nude" and unflattering.
That goes for everyone.
