With all the talk of Viva Las Vegas going on, I've noticed something; we (the rockabilly/pinup/vintage lovers) seem to fall into two categories when it comes to Vegas. The "Elvis Vegas" fans and the "Sinatra/Rat Pack Vegas" fans.

I'm a Rat Pack Vegas fan. I love that era in Las Vegas, I love their music and the shows they put on, and I'm much more likely to go see 'The Rat Pack is Back' show at the Rio then any of the Elvis impersonators or Viva Elvis.

*Elvis fans, please don't flame me, I still like him, I was married by him in Vegas :) *

So what side of Vegas history are you most in love with? The mid 60's "Summit" era or the early 70's "Elvis" era?

If I've to choose I'm definitely more the Rat Pack guy. I also tend to like the early Elvis more than the 70s Elvis. But luckily I don't really have to make that choice ...

I love Elvis, early Elvis, don't get me wrong. But for this question I'm going to have to go with The Chairman and his Rat Pack.

I am definately a Rat Pack. OK, I like Elvis but not the most. I like more the time of the late 50'th and early 60'th, when I was born. Those time, where all the 'real' pinups start. Like Jane Mansfield, Marilyn Monroe, Betty Page and so on. Elvis is for me a revolution ..... in Music. The style went in the wrong direction. Women are looking more than men as women. And the emanzipation starts. That was in my opinion against the human nature. Sorry to say that. I never ever will surpress a woman. I like this very feminine style. What is left from it since Elvis?
