I think they can. With a corset you can create some curves anyway if she's totally flat.

But I do think that its easyer (and more beautiful) when a woman has curves.

I think they can, it may make getting gigs a little harder.  I think if you do some test shots with a waist cincher or corset it would help create more curves.  I've seen a lot of models on the websites for vintage/retro reporduction clothing companies who have very "boyish" figures and probably have the job because they're so tiny.

If you really want it go for it.

Yea I would LOVE to be a pinup model but  I sadly lack in the boob area.... I am a 30 inch bust 21-23 inch waist (depending on time of month) and a 32 inch hip......sigh lol!  I had not seen any smaller pinups so I was getting kinda worried.

I do want to go for it but Im not sure how to get going (which is why I joined the site). It makes me feel better that people think I could possibly do it ;)

Spend some time looking through the photos here on PL and you will see that there is every body shape you can imagine. Being a pin up isn't all about curves, it's mostly about attitude.

personality and attitude make up for lots,  flaunt your flaws!

ABSOLUTELY!  :)

I'm a size XS and I'm a model for Pinup Girl Clothing. My measurements are 32-24-35 and I think it's safe to say I'm the skinniest model on the website! I'll soon be modeling for another pinup clothing company, and I've been contacted by a lot of great pinup photographers, so my pinup modeling is picking up a lot.

You can be successful at ANY size!  <3

"Having Curves" is really about having a certain ratio of waist to hip, (ideal is thought to be .7) or chest to waist to hip ratios.  Of course smaller girls can be curvy!  It's a shape thing not a size thing.  However I do love looking at the ladies whose curves are much curvier than mine :)

Any woman can be a pin up model.  It's all about confidence.

I think too many people are too caught up in Pin-Up "size". Personally I don't think size is even relevant, it's about the attitude not the size or shape.

"Pin-up is tasteful, Pin-up is sexy but not sexual, evocative but not provocative, naughty but nice.

It is a fine balance between innocent and tarty."

I don't understand, what flaws? She's a beautiful lady.

Beautiful, sure. But everyone has flaws. It's what you do with them that count. A good pin up, and a good model in general, knows how to work her flaws to her advantage.

Of course small girls can! To me being a pinup girl is about the FASHION and STYLE! The only curves I have are my boobs and thats it. I have absolutely no hips whatsoever! But people don't book me or compliment me on my figure. Im constantly getting complimnets on how I style myself and my hair. Just because your curvy doesn't mean your a pinup girl. You need to dress the part. Besides, the clothing give the illusion of having curves. High waisted shorts and skirts bring emphasis on the waist which gives the illusion that your waist is small. When I wear dresses I actually put on a latex girdle which gives me some help. So try that, but believe me from my experience only about 10% have complimented my figure and 90% has been what I wear and my hair. GO FOR IT BABY DOLL!
