I recently purchased a vintage style bathing suit.  However, when I tried it on the style was very unflattering.  I've been researching many sites that sell vintage style suits, but many of them don't offer a refund; just a size exchange.  I'm afraid to take the plunge and get stuck with something that looks horrible on me.

I appreciate any thoughts/guidance!

That is a bummer.  Can you get out to any thrift stores that sell vintage suits to try on the various styles and find what suits you best?  They don't have to be a perfect fit, just give you an idea of shapes and styles on your figure.  After you find the style  look at Vintage Suits by Mary.  I have seen those suits in person and they are made very well.  Nice fabrics and quality craftsmanship.  That is where I am getting my next suit from.  I have an Esther Williams suit right now that I am happy with.  Good luck.

Best thing is if you can get someplace and try one on.... Are you anywhere near the Buffalo, NY area?
