Remakes! More rubbish than the rubbish original.

Rubbish or otherwise.
I'm currently watching Kung-Fu Hustle (awesome!) and the film afterwards is called "How to Make a Monster" made in 2001.
Now I'm pretty sure I have a rubbish B-movie in black and white on video in the sitting room that I picked up in a charity shop, of the same title.
Any other remakes that were even more rubbish than the original cause at least the original was only rubbish cause it didn't have the budget or didn't know any better?
House of Wax for example, although I remember Vincent Price being pretty cool in the original one...!

I've still not seen the original but "How to Make a Monster" was truly terrible- I half watched it as I updated my profile on here well into the night! It did star Clea Duvall and that actor dude that was Rex Van Der Kamp in Desperate Housewives. It also had a guy I'm sure was a wrestler.... he may have been in "Fozzy" the soft rock band. And no it wasn't The Rock!

Yeah, it's a sad fact that remakes are rubbish for the most part. It's even sadder that Hollywood keeps making them...come on guys! You really have NO original ideas left? Hire me then!!! lol : P
I think 90% of the time once you hear it's a remake you should set your expectations VERY low. In fact you'd be better off just watching the original! There are a couple of exceptions but in general, remakes suck.
