"We Are The New Vintage"

Snaps, definitely snaps! The tiny ones you sew on, not the industrial ones that are applied with a machine. There are some that are made of clear plastic too. You could sew buttons on top and create the illusion of buttons... say down the back of the dress. Velcro won't have the dramatic "pop" like the classic snaps do - you could even have someone slip a few loose buttons down the back of your dress so when you're ready to "pop", a few go flying, making it look like you really popped your buttons! If you get the metal ones, get the tiniest ones you can, they are more delicate and you can actually adjust their strength with a pair of pliers. Your "pop-off" dance move should determine what seam you place them at (side, back or front seam). Another-words, if you swing out your hip in a dramatic manner to the right in your final move, then logically that is where the tension would be and where you would therefor place your snaps! Hope that helps! Let me know if you need any more advice! Always glad to help at pinkpurr@glamour.ca
