Pinup Looks in Modern Pop Culture

Has anyone else caught a look at the video where Beyonce is made to look like a pinup- a'la Bettie Page?
It reminds me of Christina Aguilera's short-lived pinup image.


I know it p***** some people off when subcultures are picked up as a mainstream fad, but I just look at it as good things on clearance racks waiting to happen in the near future.

 

Anyone else find any good ones? Videos, pictures, anything mainstream that's inspired by the retro/pin up scene, post 'em up!

Sara Sundae, you have posted one of my all time favorite vids! Ohmygeez, pinup is HOTT right now! Every mag I have has pinup shots in it! Some are national ads and some are dealer's choice for the photog to shoot the model in a classic pinup pose with a modern twist!

 I was in Manhattan Mall in NYC and ran across this cute store named Top Gun. The entire collection and concept is a homage to World War 2 and the Pin-Up Girl. It's commercialized, but very tastefully done and a cute way for them to celebrate Pin-Up culture as a fashion trend.

When I was younger I used to hate when I saw pin up and rockabilly things in mainstream culture but today I am glad to see that aesthetics are changing for the better :)

Me too...she was <3 and best looking lady there. Pam is also great and have that "femme fatale" looks.
