Pinup Looks in Modern Pop Culture

Has anyone else caught a look at the video where Beyonce is made to look like a pinup- a'la Bettie Page?
It reminds me of Christina Aguilera's short-lived pinup image.

I know it p***** some people off when subcultures are picked up as a mainstream fad, but I just look at it as good things on clearance racks waiting to happen in the near future.

 

Anyone else find any good ones? Videos, pictures, anything mainstream that's inspired by the retro/pin up scene, post 'em up!

i don't know if this is what you guys where talking about...but i believe so.

let's just say i'm not the hugest beyonce fan...but this video is on point. I would have loved to have styled this. major high fives to everyone who was involved in this. sooooooooooo hot.

 

beyonce may have been asking why i didn't love her...but this video definitely changed my mind. love love love everything about this video.

Hey Roxy... This the one you're looking for?  I'm not a fan of Beyonce, but I LOVE this video and all of her pinup looks and attitude.  It's good to see ethnic women sporting the look... even if it is mainstream.

I agree, I used to get picked on by my family for adoring retro and vintage attire and style at a young age. My ex husband even hated the way I dressed, now all of a sudden it's mainstream and he likes it. But yeah, I drool at the thought of ALL those discards showing up on clearance racks and thrift stores. I remember in the 90's Gwen Stefani did the Marilyn hair and jewelry apart from that I can't really remember much.
