Pinup and Porn.. where is the line? NWS!! SORRY!!!

Ok.. so i was looking at this new site thing, pinupparkinglot.. or whatever.. it seems like, to me, that a LOT of pinup models are getting more and more edgy.. or.. naked..
I know there different categories of modeling, but where does the line get drawn as far as pinup style portfolios??

ABSOLUTELY NO OFFENSE to the photographers or models.. these photos are beautiful.. but are they "pinups"?????

That site has become a joke to me, I blocked the emails from it just the other day.

Anyway not to get off topic, but in response to what sfphoto said....there are some good points there. The one thing I wanted to add is that, the element of the tease, not showing alot of skin and "leaving more to the imagination".....for alot of us is really all about respecting and preserving the past. It all about keeping it "old school" and not letting the elements of the 40's and 50's that we live for and recreate in our everyday lives slip away. When all girls start showing everything and there are full frontal nude ads on TV and in print......everything sacred will officially be lost. I understand the ways of the world and things are gonna go in the direction they are gonna go in. I just pray that there will enough people left around to keep the nostalgia alive for my children, grandchildren, and beyond.....

Well, if the people involved start f****** it's porn. Fetish is something alittle different than porn or pin-up to me too. I think pin-up is on the more wholesome end. Porn is raunchier, but also alittle more white bread/mainstream. Fetish is out there, but some how classier and smarter.

I think one of the major differences between the three is that porn IS not art. Pin-up can be be art. Fetish can be art. Porn is just porn. I say this as a fan of all three things.

it's already been said, but yes, i'd say those are Fet pics not Pin-Up - Pin-up-Esque/with a Pin-Up flair/or Pin-Up influences, but still Fet pics

I cross that line constantly. I think it is down to personal choice. :)
