Pin Up flower should be worn on Left or Right?

I was recently getting my hair done and my beautician asked me if I was married or single. She said if a girl is taken she is to wear her hair flower on the left. If single it goes on the right. Just wondering if it matters? I have been putting my flower on both sides due to however my hair side part falls better.

who knows? It could be true or not??? I also put them on both sides so i dont think it really matters... I lost my black rose hair clip and am devastated!!! but now that i fixed my hair, i will look for one soon!!!
